Our goal is to make the world, both the planet and its people, happier and healthier. We believe every Founder has a responsibility to do everything they can to make their businesses as sustainable for the world as possible. Because of this, we try to avoid plastic at all costs, making rePurpose Global the perfect partner for us!

How It Works

1. Measure

Slate Milk donates a percentage of every product purchase to fund the collection of 390 lbs of low-value PP plastic waste from oceans and landfills every year.

2. Compensate

Low-value plastic is collected, processed, and reused by TakaTaka Solutions - a waste management service in Kenya that employs and empowers waste pickers to tackle plastic waste.

3. Reduce

Slate Milk will work with rePurpose Global to reduce the future use of virgin plastics in their products and build a more circular business and delivery model for their company.

Slate Milk's Sustainability Journey

Sustainable Sourcing

From sourcing to your hands, Slate Milk always puts sustainability first. After sourcing milk from family-owned farms, we ultra-filter our milk, which removes some of its water. We then use this water back onto the farms, making the only outside water we use to clean our machinery. We then pasteurize and package our products in 100% recyclable aluminum cans.

An Ongoing Journey

While we are only at the beginning, the vision for Slate Milk is to not only be a Plastic Neutral brand, but also a Water Neutral brand. We are constantly exploring ways to further reduce our water usage and advance our sustainability practices to make the world a better place!

The Plastic Neutral Shift

Through its partnership with rePurpose Global, Slate Milk has gone Plastic Neutral. By doing this, the company is helping finance the removal of an amount of plastic equivalent to what they use in their operations, supporting ethical wages, and empowering waste workers to fight plastic pollution in their own communities.
